Swan Lake Fireweed
Picked up a visitor (Scott) from Chicago last week and the drive back was, as usual, not disappointing. I talked nonstop tourist guide and we made a minimum number of stops for photo opps. Last years Swan Lake fire provided starkly beautiful examples of how fireweed got it’s name.
We also did the Moose Pass viewing platform for watching the Sockeye once in a lifetime orgy. Once again, I neglected to document photographically. Scott provided these which he took with his iPhone through dark glasses.
He and Melody are busy doing the tourist thing while they plan the total rebuild of the Wild Honey.
Stay tuned.
