Do Not Be Afraid of Donald Trump

My liberal friends are scared to death of Donald Trump and what his presidency would mean. I say to them, “Don’t worry, DT will energize the democrats and get them to the polls in record numbers; ensuring his defeat in November.” BUT………

Democrats  should be VERY afraid if he keeps doing worse and worse in the polls. DT will not remain in a race he is not going to win. He will pull out and claim the election is “rigged” or he is being treated “unfairly”.

The timing of this move will be critical. If he drops out before September, the “experts” say the RNC could replace him with a new candidate in time to have the replacement on the ballot. I doubt that he will do the RNC any favors but if they do replace him, that would be the time to be afraid.

He (DT) has moved the curve and lowered the bar to the point where everyone else that could be considered for the nomination looks moderate. Anyone replacing Donald on the Republican ticket will do better. What the Democrats should fear is the late and unknown entry to the race.

About

So far I've reached acceptable proficiency at the following, in chronological order: Silversmith, infantryman/door gunner, helicopter pilot, fireman, carpenter, residential contractor, FAA Air Traffic Control Specialist and crotchety old retired guy. Currently, I'm learning to fly again and that is what this is all about. 7/7/2020 edit: As I have had the opportunity to reflect (old people do that a lot) on my actual proficiency level at the above occupations, I feel adjustments are in order. The term "acceptable" depends on the observer, their own proficiency and experience level. Acceptable to me might be woefully deficient to the master. I think it would be more accurate to claim that I have earned a living wage at all of these occupations but never got rich. Actually, I feel that I have gotten rich at the last one. I have what I need and am profoundly grateful for all of it. The future looks bright indeed, as I have learned to fly again. For that I have all of you to thank. Thank You!
